Convertly ("we", "our", "us") is built with privacy as its core principle. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the Convertly mobile application ("App").
All image conversion happens 100% on your device. No photos, image data, thumbnails, or conversion results are ever uploaded to any server. The App functions fully offline in airplane mode. We cannot see, access, or store your photos.
With your consent (via the App Tracking Transparency prompt), we may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) for the purpose of serving relevant advertisements through Google AdMob. This applies to free tier users only. Pro subscribers are never shown ads and this identifier is not collected.
The App stores a local history of your conversions (format, file size, thumbnail, timestamp) on your device only. This data is never transmitted to any server. History entries older than 30 days are automatically deleted. Uninstalling the App removes all history data.
Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives anonymized purchase receipts from Apple to verify your subscription — it does not receive any photos, personal data, or device identifiers beyond what Apple provides for receipt validation.
The App tracks a daily conversion count (a simple number) stored locally on your device to enforce the free tier limit. This count resets at midnight and is not transmitted to any server.

Convertly uses Apple's PhotosPicker, which allows you to select photos without granting the App access to your full photo library. When you choose to save converted images back to your Photos library, the App requests add-only or limited access. You control this permission in iOS Settings at all times.
All app data (conversion history, preferences, daily counters) is stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms. No personal data is transmitted to external servers by our App.
Local conversion history is automatically purged after 30 days. All local data is removed when you uninstall the App. Since we do not store data on servers, there is nothing for us to retain.
Convertly does not collect personal information from any user, including children. The App does not require account creation and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
